Turkey, located across two continents, South East Europe and South West Asia, is officially known as the Republic of Turkey. Turkey's culture has an exclusive amalgamation of Eastern and Western traditions. Recently, the economy of Turkey has expanded strongly. Turkey is classified as a developed country and, often, as a newly industrialized country by political scientists and economists. Oil is produced in Turkey, but its production is not adequate to make the country self-reliant. Hence, it's a net gas and oil importer. When it comes to the production of a wide variety of minerals, Turkey ranks tenth in the world as it produces around 60 different minerals. |
